The baby is coming! With Sue going into labor, Reed must make a perilous journey to obtain Element X, the only thing that can keep the baby safe from the cosmic rays in Sue's body. The bad news - it can only be found in the Negative Zone! The WORSE news? It's in the hands of one of the deadliest beings in any universe - ANNIHILUS!

The Fantastic Four find out that the Invisible Woman may die in childbirth since she was altered by cosmic rays years ago. The only hope to save her is to get some negative energy, which can be found in the Negative Zone. The Thing, Human Torch, and Mr. Fantastic travel there and find Annihilus. After knocking him out, they steal his Cosmic Control Rod, since it has negative energy. Shortly afterwards though, they have to give it back to save their lives, but not before using some of the Negative Energy.
